I'm sorry
As a poet,
this is something I never wanted to have to say.
But sometimes words aren´t enough.
And when they do fall short,
I´m going to be honest,
I don´t know what to do.
Because words are the way
I know how to love.
But the truth is that
sometimes someone´s hurt
is too big for my words to fix.
And that is the most crippling thing to me.
That I couldn´t save you.
I´m sorry that I couldn´t save you.
